Benefits of Laser Hair Removal at Home

An increasingly popular way to deal with unwanted body hair is to treat it with laser. Laser hair removal is virtually painless compared to other methods of hair removal while producing the closest thing we have to permanent results. For many people who are tired to dealing with body hair this is a dream come true. But to take things even further, there are now laser hair removal systems that can be purchased for home use so that a person can perform the treatment on themselves without the need to visit a clinic. This obviously increases the potential for many more people to enjoy the benefits of laser hair treatment.

An important factor to keep in mind is that these take home systems are designed for use on body hair only. Laser facial hair removal at home is still not an option and removing facial hair would still require a visit to the clinic. But for unwanted body hair, this allows people to almost permanent remove hair without having to make the effort of scheduling an appointment. The time and convenience of such a device is something many people can appreciate.

There is also a significant cost saving in a do-it-yourself laser system. A typical machine can cost several hundred dollars but allows the owner to perform the treatment on themselves as many times as necessary to get the job done. Typical clinical treatments will require multiple sessions before an area is fully treated and the cost will add up. Being able to receive unlimited treatments for a flat purchase price is definitely a money saver in the long run. But since laser facial hair removal at home is not something these machines can do, anyone who desires to remove facial hair will need to spend money on clinical treatment. It is normal to need touch up sessions ever two years or so which is why having a machine at home is so beneficial.

I Love the Taste of Goji Berries

If you are looking for an effective way to lose weight in a healthy and tasty way then you should try out goji berries. The great tasting berries make the whole weight loss process much easier due to the fact that they are so easy to consume. You would not even feel that you are dieting. I am particularly fond of buying goji juice among the many goji berry products that is available in the market.

Goji Berries are Tasty

I can give you a lot of reason why you should give these goji berries a try in your dieting and weight loss goals. But I am going to focus on the fact that it makes the whole process of dieting easier due to its great taste.

I used to avoid anything herbal or natural because of the fact that I did not like the way they tasted. I would often prefer taking in those with preservatives or artificial sweeteners even if I knew that they would not be much help to my weight loss goals. But everything changed when I started trying out the goji berry diet.

These goji berries have a very unique taste that not even I can get tired of. It has a sweet and sour feel to it – imagine eating cranberries and strawberries together. This is what you get when you eat a goji berry.

It is quite easy to get hold of goji berry products as well due to the fact that they are in demand. When you get goji juice I suggest that you get the organic and those that are made from a hundred percent goji berries. You would not need to add anything to the juice due to the fact that it tastes great just the way it is,

My Diet with Goji Berries

I am not only going to share to you the fact that these berries tastes great but I would also want to share to you the fact that these goji berries are very effective as a fat burner.

When I started drinking a glass of goji juice each day I began to see a lot of changes in my body.  I became more energetic, I felt lighter, I was losing weight and I no longer felt like having snacks in between meals. After a month I was not surprised to see that I have lost ten pounds due to the fact that the progress of taking these goji berries was very evident.

If you want to lose weight by drinking something good, then you should put yourself to a goji berry diet now.

Orange Juice Recipes and Health Benefits of Oranges

The health benefits of oranges provide us with many antioxidants such as vitamin C, flavonoids and carotenoids. These potent antioxidants have protective properties against heart disease, cancers, arthritis, premature aging, diabetes and even hemarrhoids.

The most abundant carotenoid in oranges is called beta-cryptoxanthin. Beta-cryptoxanthin, like its carotenoid brother beta-carotene, can be metabolized by the liver into vitamin A. The health benefits of vitamin A include reducing the risk of developing eye diseases and protecting the lungs from harmful oxygen molecules (called free radicals) that we breathe in from pollution and smoke. Eating foods high in beta-cryptoxanthin is also associated with a 30% less risk of developing lung cancer.

The flavonoids in oranges, of which there are over 60 different kinds, are very beneficial for heart health. Flavonoids are powerful anti-inflammatory agents. Atherosclerosis is now generally considered in the medical field to be an inflammatory disease. So a diet rich in flavonoids has been shown over and over again in different studies to significantly lower the risk of developing atherosclerosis, which itself is a major risk factor for heart disease. In addition to this, flavonoids also help to reduce blood platelet aggregation, helping to keep the blood thinner and healthier.

Vitamin C is closely related to flavonoids. In natural food sources like fruits and vegetables you never find one without the other. Supplements of vitamin C are now often found with added flavonoids. This is because they actually improve the bio-availability of vitamin C, making it more effective.

The health benefits of vitamin C, are in part, similar to those of flavonoids. Vitamin C also works as a powerful anti-inflammatory that greatly reduces the risk of developing atherosclerosis. In addition, vitamin C is an important constituent in the making of collagen (the substance that ‘puts the elasticity’ into arteries). Without vitamin C, collagen cannot be made, and cholesterol is used as a substitute. This is another major risk factor for the development of atherosclerosis.

Juicing Oranges
The flavonoids in oranges are mostly found in the peel and white membranes of the orange. As unorthodox as this my be, I actually juice some of the peel along with the orange to greatly increase the flavonoid content of the juice. The key is to scrape out some of the white from inside the peel and not to use the orange outer side of the peel – which tastes too sour when juiced. This rule can be applied to all citrus fruit juicing, if you want more flavonoids in your juicing recipes .

Plants To Avoid And May Be Causing Your Eczema

Poison ivy and poison oak are known world wide to cause a dermatitis type of eczema. However, they are not the only plants that can cause your eczema. If you know which plants to avoid, then you may be able to prevent your skin problems.

Many people have allergies to plants, eczema sufferers just seem to be more reactive. In general, it is good eczema advice to avoid any plants with “fuzzy” leaves. Leaves that appear to be coated in a fur have high tendency of allergic reaction.

Some plants actually irritate the skin more than causing an allergic reaction. The “juice” within the plant or its fruit will cause an irritation when they come in contact with the skin. Garlic, onions, and leeks normally fall into this category. Citrus also falls into this category and can increase your skin’s sensitivity to light, as do mangos.

Before your loved ones give you flowers, you might also think twice. Certain flowers have also been known to cause eczema. Daisies are often an allergen, along with tulips and poinsettias. Flowers with firm or stiff leaves can cause micro-cuts in your skin, triggering an eczema reaction.

If you think that your eczema might be caused by a plant, then this may limit your treatment options. Many of the best eczema natural cure options are derived from plants. Plant extracts and oils are often great for treating the skin, you just need to make sure that you avoid any plant derived products that you may be allergic to.

The best way to prevent your plant related eczema is to avoid or limit your exposure. Of course, if you may not be able to completely avoid exposure. However, you can wear latex gloves when you are handling plants to reduce your exposure. Once you can control exposure to the plants causing your eczema you may be able to prevent it entirely.
