Recently I had been feeling depressed for quite awhile, the economy is challenging, out government is in chaos and 1 out of 5 people I know are either out of work or fearful of losing their jobs. This is not an ideal scenario for a bright and chipper outlook on life. You have to be proactive about your mental health during these times. That does not necessarily mean that you need a pill or supplement to counteract these feelings

Exercise not only makes your feel more confident and healthy it actually releases some of the very same chemicals that many anti depressants have in them. Exercising more does not mean you have to run the Boston Marathon, it means do more than you are doing right now. If you are doing nothing than make time to walk. You will feel a difference right away.
Spend Time Reading Positive Things
It has been proven over and over again that thinking positive things yields positive results. The opposite is of course true. If you spend all your time in life focusing on the negative then you will indeed be miserable. Make a conscious decision to be happy, and work at it every day.
Spend Time With Friends And Family
Dont let yourself fall into the trap of becoming a recluse, even if you have lost your job and dont have a great deal of money for socialization. Find opportunities to spend with your friends and family they are your support mechanisms and they are good company. You will always get a positive charge out of spending time with them. Recently I spent some time with my sister and two nieces with some Disney vacations, watching my nieces have so much fun was the best medicine. If drug companies could put that in a bottle they would make billions. Disney truly is a magic kingdom if you let it be.

Many people talk about the possible effects that smoking can have on your skin. I enjoy a nice cigar every now and then and have never seen any adverse effects to my skin.
